InkFest Artist's Forum with Jenny Kitchener

07/06/2016

Meet InkFest visiting artist-in-residence Jenny Kitchener who will speak about her current work.

Pattern, repetition and rhythm play a part in nature and also feature in Jenny's prints. She has been seduced by the humble linocut which has become the ideal matrix from which a multitude of insects, birds, flowers, leaves, scissors and other ephemera emerge. Jenny often uses the process of collage to build up complex and intricate images which interweave personal stories with universal themes. The use of metaphor and symbols has become an integral part of her work.
Jenny is represented by Port Jackson Press Print Gallery in Collingwood, PG Print Gallery in Fitzroy, Art Piece Gallery in Mullumbimby and numerous other galleries.
