Carme Dapena introduces the intaglio reduction method which uses one plate to print successive colours - yellow, magenta, blue devised by Pere Pons . The entire plate is etched to create a textured surface, burnished and printed with each colour to create the full colour range. Of special interest to intaglio fans and suitable for beginners to more experienced printers who might like to extend their skills.
Maximum 10 participants
All materials will be supplied including quality printmaking rag paper. Extensive notes provided.

Carme has just completed a successful residency at Tanks Arts Centre. She is a printmaker, painter, calligrapher, and educator, based in Spain. Her residency in Cairns was part of a collaborative study with biologist, Santi Ruiz for BetàniaPatmos School in Barcelona.
