Yvonne Hering has been learning this tradtional method of Mokuhanga (Japanese Woodblock printing) since 1986 when she studied under the Master Itaro Sano at Kyushu. She is currently studying contemporary printing in Kyoto.The workshop will begin with a short introduction to traditional prints with examples. You will learn the printing process with an emphasis on traditional technique and make a two colour print. Yvonne uses non-toxic studio practices, cleanup with water.
All materials provided and you may keep the carving tools and the baren.
