Upside-Up is a 12-month capacity-building program for emerging Indigenous artists. It provides access to art-making facilities, equipment and studio time. It delivers tailored mentoring in printmaking as a visual artform and potential future career and income source. Mentors will foster skills and artistic ability in a fully-equipped professional studio and ensure that participants learn all aspects of studio operations including OH&S, business and exhibition practice.
Participants will create new works for presentation in a prestigious gallery - NorthSite Contemporary Arts. The emerging artists will be assisted in launching rewarding independent artistic practices.
The course is divided into sections lino cut, dry point, silkscreen, lithography and monoprints and is delivered on Friday each week.
Tutors: Hannah Parker and Theo Tremblay
Or drop into the studio on a Friday to meet the tutor to find out more.
This project is supported by a RAF Renewal Grant and the Flying Arts Alliance
